How do I take life less seriously?

I been stressing out lately with relationship, college, family issues and just regular horseplay. I been taking it too seriously. I am an introvert and I have an anger problem due to stress. I never been having difficulty in my head until I got a new job with co-workers with very bad work ethnic.

They are complaining, nagging, lazy, talkative, and love to play around especially sexually. I love my work ethnic, my ego and flexibility. My co-workers know my ego is so high when it comes to work, that I want their share of the load on top of mine, but, some days, I just want to relax a bit and when they give it to me that argue when I don't accept it. I am the quiet type and I hate when people make deteriorating jokes about my intelligence, my common sense and my actions. I always tell them to mind their own business but they keep pushing it like they want it to make them feel good. Damn egostistical, they never learn self-control. All together the stress makes my temper more faster and more intense. I don't want to have a temper at work, so how do I take work life less serious?

Your coworkers are going to tag you down because they know that you are a easy target to mess with. You need to not be so uptight and just relax and joke around with them and be happy. Your letting them to control you.

Since you spend so much time at work the people you work with are very important. If these people are either jealous of you or taking advantage of you it is not the best enviornment to be around. Could you transfer to a different department, work different hours, or go for a promotion? If none of these are possible, perhaps you may want to switch jobs.

Your health is very important and it will suffer if you are constantly under stress. No matter what job you have you need to find time for recreation. Your work performance, and your overall happiness will be elevated. Do you like a certain sport, or books, or social dancing, or plays? Find some things you really enjoy and do one of these every day. Of course you can't go to a play everyday or go dancing, but you could do an acivity such as read everyday and then go do something that you really enjoy on the weekend.

Spending a little time each day and a little larger chunk of time once a week will give you the stress reliever you are looking for and make your life fuller and more happy.

    Good Luck!

Sounds to me as if you may bit just a bit egotistical there mate. Why else would you want to do your co-worker's work on top of yours other than to try and show them up and make them look bad. The only thing you will gain by doing that is more work that the boss won't recognize you for doing. On the good side though, you do sound as if you have a high work ethic, which is good. This will keep you from getting sucked into your co-workers games and such. Keep yourself busy with your own work and ask your boss for extra if you finish early. Also remember that not everyone has a work ethic like yours and that's not your problem. Once you can let that go, you will relax a bit.

First of all, you need to put some humor into the situation and not take it so personally.

Second, if one of your co-workers make you feel uncomfortable then you need to address it to them immediately. Adding negative thoughts towards them just adds stress (nonetheless, clutter in the back of your mind) and doesn't fix anything. Perhaps, you should offer them tips (or some sort of constructive criticism.). Calling them names makes you just as bad of a person as them.

Dr. Phil, consume your coronary heart out. Sir Romanis - I bow to you, in acknowledgment of your words of understanding! you're mind-blowing on the money as time-honored. i think of maximum consumers right here take each and all of the bantering with sturdy will, there is only a pick few, whom could make it very own and make vicious assaults on people right here.

  • Take a nice long vacation if you have the time, if not, plan for your next long holiday and/or vacation and what you are going to do on it
