husband is waiting for his green card, needs to travel!?
He has a Mom in his homeland who is not doing well health wise, and a nephew in England who needs his help as far as the family business goes, economy is tight in the USA now, and we would love to see his Mum, and then spend a few months in England getting his Nephew's place in order, and then of course return home. Is this even possible, we have waited over 1 year , our interview was in January, no response as of yet. We were married 3 years before applying, so yeah, it's love here..went through some hard times the first two years trying to adapt to cultures and expectations, he is a wonderful man..I am a bit of a problem..;)

does your husband have the advance parole documentation? this allows him to travel while his greencard is pending. i don't know if you file that form for advance parole when you submitted all paperworks to the uscis...he should of gotten this roughly at the same time as the work authorization (if you also submitted that)... i don't know how long you can stay out of the u.s. with this advance parole, but i am assuming not as long as a "few months"...you should call the uscis number to verify. good luck!

He can apply for a travel document called advance parole based on his mothers ill health.. He will need to take some documentation showing her condition. He can then go visit her.
But for his newphew, he should wait until after he gets the green card. Did they tell you why he did not get a green card at the interview? I would call and find out, it seems to be taking longer than it should.
