Toyota 1990 pickup Where is fuel filter?

According to auto parts store, this filter is bolted onto the body/frame somewhere between the tank and injector system. I can't find it. Anyone know exactly where it is?

Pickup is a long bed with 4 cylinder engine.

Thanks for your efforts.

tough spot..under the intake manifold, just above the starter. if it has air conditioning it is a bit tougher still. If you have a 4x4-it would be easiest to remove the R/F wheel and the 4 bolt plate under the rt side fender apron and you can see it better. For safety, disconnect the battery to prevent any spark from the positive terminal of the starter.

There are two 17mm flare bolts on either end of the filter you should loosen before unbolting the filter. Also helps to crack the gas cap loose to relieve the pressure from the fuel tank so less fuel will spill.

If there is alot of gas in tank go to a marine (boat) place ask for a siphon to drain the gas tank. If there is just a gallon U can get a cheaper one at most auto-parts stores, but they normally work very slow, most are hand powered. Once tank is drained, remove your spark plugs from motor and turn over the engine with the ignition key for about 2-5 five minutes. Off and ON not for a solid five minutes or U will damage your starter. Let sit for about 20 minutesm then replace spark-plugs and add new gas to tank. Then see if it will start, if it does which it should, I highly recomend changing your oil because the gas & water mixture will settle into it. If the plugs look bad, U might want to replace them as well. Good-Luck
