How do we know if questions are text messaging?

Actually texting is all about making the sentence as short as possible, since you have to type the message, on the tiny phone, letter by letter.

Example, if the key has the letters

R S T then you punch the button once for R

2 Times for S and 3 for T. Its quite tedious.

TEXT TALK :

ur abl 2 get tlkg dun w less ltrs.

Talk like LOL WTF LMAO etc is internet chatroom, or instant messenger talk--just being carried forward to texting.

However, people should know how to type for a broadbase communication, like Y! A

I try to spell everything out. The newer technology has sped up the pace leaving many of us behind. But I have time to wait for someone to make their thoughts clear and to choose their own words. I hope you really don't feel like a fool! I have no idea what the questions you referred to are or did you make that up as an example of texting?

It certainly is annoying Snooty. I tend to pass over those questions because it hurts my brain way too much.

And we wonder why some of the younger generation can't spell.

Some of the kids on yahoo answers dont know how to type on a keyboard. They only know text message typing. It is really annoying. When you see someone reply to a question with. "OMG I LUV Dat 2"

That is what they are doing.

I think we should just force our WW2 codes on them & see if they can figure it out like they expect all of us over 50 people to have to do with their texting codes!

Wouldn't that be a fun concept?
