Do you think the chinese should have their gold medal taken and given to the Americans?

I hate to say it but there are online records that show that three of the six gymnasts are underage. That being said, I'd like to see another gold for the USA. I mean, the Chinese girls were amazing and performed flawlessly, but the rules were made for a reason. All we can do is wait and see, but I don't think anything's going to happen.

I think they should let the girl keep the medal but impose some fine or other restriction on china. The girl DID win, and she earned her medal. It was her countries fault, not hers. It cannot reasonably be assumed that she could have said no in a communist country.

I think we should let this go. It would not matter because China gave those girls their passports, so we will not know how old they are. I am gettinbg tired of hearing about this. Gymnastics is my favorite summer Olympics game. Why can we not just be happy for them and say way to go USA for your sliver medal?

i think the medals should be checked for lead . did china have any thing to do with making them ? all kidding aside there were goverment run news paper articles found from 2007 giving one of the girls age as 13 or 14 i dont rember which . some of there adult teeth have not come in yet . but what do you expect from a country that exports poison pet food and baby toys made with lead

I think they should loose the medals Brooke. A lot of people seem to be anti-US about it. If we had under-aged competitors our coaches would be in hell right now. They should have to wait 4 years to try again.

If definitive proof was found that the Chinese where using under aged gymnast then the IOC would have no choice but to award it the US.

Having said that I'm not convinced they are under aged. The Chinese gymnastic team is good enough to not need to risk cheating and blowing everything.

If they had a way to find out how old the girls are, that would be fine. But the government says they have all the information, on the girls ages. So there you go!,...
