Healthy alternative to doughnuts?

At our staff meetings we always have doughnuts. Recently it was suggested we have something healthier instead. Any suggestions? Preferably something that can be served with a minimum of fuss, ie no plates or utensils just napkins.

The thing about Doughnuts is that you can always expect that they will satisfy the sweet tooth, bring smiles to the group and you will have a variety available to suit every taste.

The cake doughnuts can be less high in calories dependeing on the toppings and main ingredient.

The price dollar-wise of a box of doughnuts can't be beat. The place to seek alternatives would be Costco for their muffins or these little Austrailian bites made with oats and other goodies.

We are still talking about a simple carb snack to go with coffee.

In my opinion you will find it hard to replace unless you go for grapes, oranges, apples, melons cut up. That gets messy, though.

Hmm.....slices of banana bread? Although, unless it's made from scratch it probably won't be any healthier than a donut.

Wow, this one is a tough one =|
