What would/does your partner do when you're sick?

You know - I can't count the times I've held her hair, provided water and picked her sorry drunk azz up and carried her safely to bed during these times.

OK one time she didn't make it from the car to the bathroom and tossed on the kitchen floor. And I was p.o.'d because I had warned her not to go in the house (or to drink that much earlier for that matter).

I refused to clean it up. I said, heck no - I don't care how drunk you are - you make a mess like that you gotta clean it up.

She's never forgiven me. When I'm sick I take care of business... I tell people what I need and I clean up my mess. Yeah I don't get any support on this if it's me, but it rarely is and I seem to be able to handle it better.

My partner hates me when I'm sick. She wants nothing to do with me. Her philosophy is "if you can walk, you can work." There is no sympathy for sick people in this house. So I try and turn it around. If she's sick - oh man lookout - royal treatment to the point of ridiculous!!!

I don't get sick often, but I kind of like to be left alone on the couch with blankets and the tv. LOL

My husband will go to the store and get me medicine or bring me hot tea, whatever I need, but I don't ask too much of him.

He's kind of the same way. We take good care of each other when we are sick, but we don't take advantage of one another.

being that this just happened to me two nights ago: I was asked what would make me feel better.

i said, sprite and a cold wash cloth. I got both and then i asked to be left alone, because i don't like company when i'm sick.

My partner is there by my side until Ive settled and then leaves me to go back to sleep while he is doing the housework.

I got really sick at like 3am one day and my bf stayed up with me, made me some tea, got me blankets, and sat with me. It was the sweetest thing ever. Specially since he had a university exam in 3 hours time and hadn't slept.

It depends how bad i am, he can't be near me if i am sick, or he will be sick. But he does make me drinks and food if i need them.

they leave me alone and go off to work, up the pub, off to play football,or downstairs to watch tv

honestly i have never thrown up around my hubby and we've known each other for 11 yrs, married for 6yrs.But i have been around him when he threw up, i was there trying to help him feel better.

Now there's one thing in the whole wide world / I sure would like to see / That's when that little love of mine / Dips her doughnut in my tea ... that's what she does, dips her doughnut in my tea
