If you don't want to search the internet for IT jobs then wait till you are in New Zealand if you are not already and go door knocking (so to speak). Turn up at businesses and ask if there is anything going or look in the NZ paper job advertisments.
Tip ** I would brush up on your spelling through, I hope your CV that you are submitting is not has bad as your question here, otherwise no-one will hire you.

first, I would brush up on your spelling ... nothing says "Hire Me" better than misspelling the name of the country
