Are aluminum soda cans attracted to magnets? What about steel cans?

    Aluminium is not attracted to a magnet, unless the magnet is extremely strong (several teslas of magnetic field strength are required). Steel is attracted to a magnet, unless it is top-quality stainless steel, which is nonmagnetic (again, unless the magnetic field is extremely strong.)
