How is this cutting unnecessary spending?
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a "per diem" allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.
The governor also has charged the state for travel expenses to take her children on official out-of-town missions. And her husband, Todd, has billed the state for expenses and a daily allowance for trips he makes on official business for his wife.
Palin, who earns $125,000 a year, claimed and received $16,951 as her allowance, which officials say was permitted because her official "duty station" is Juneau, according to an analysis of her travel documents by The Washington Post.
The governor's daughters and husband charged the state $43,490 to travel, and many of the trips were between their house in Wasilla and Juneau.

She did sell the state jet, it must cost at least her annual allowance just to fuel up that thing for a hop. As for her kids travel allowance, that seems to be a stretch. What state business would request the kids to come to the meeting; your kids can play with my kids maybe.
What is interesting about Palin, is her history of driving an effort for Alaska to be an independent state. If she cant have her own country, why not run home-base.

She cuts a quarter billion in spending and you want to criticize her for $60 K? They didn't say that she sold the jet and cut out the personal driver and personal chef though did they?

Maybe we should talk about earmarks? Obama = nearly a billion dollars for Illinois. McCain = never a single earmark. Is that cutting unnecessary spending?
So let's see, electing McCain/Palin might cost us $60K while electing Obama/Biden might cost us billions?
Tell the WHOLE story, lol...typical liberal.
