call the consulate in the US for the UK they will give you all the information. UK is more strict than other countries, you will need a pet passport, international health certficate stamped by the USDA, rabies shot a year prior but not a month before leaving. they may quarentine your pet. also note some dog breeds are not allowed to be moved to other countries - like pitbulls adn rotweillers for example (even if they are mixed breeds) also check with the airline you are flying they are their own set of rules, too.
