I think more than anything people want Bush out of office, I cannot see them allowing him to stay longer. I dearly hope he fixes things because he's done nothing to help out economy for the past seven years. I cannot believe it's taken seven years to realize how bad our economy has gotten through the Bush Administration.

Look around. Today a presidential candidate (of the same party and a definite acolyte of the current President) has 'suspended' his campaign because of a 'national emergency'. Do you think this might be a trial balloon for another 'national emergency' in a few weeks, either economic or terrorist, that will force the poor unwilling President to declare marshal law, suspend the US Constitution, and 'postpone' the election? In 1998 this would have sounded crazy. In 2008 it just doesn't seem all that crazy, does it?

Add- riots in the street, hooyeah? You think? ROTFLMAO.

what the heck are you talking about. Mccain is doing what he is doing to get votes !~!!!!!! he is just trying to make sure that what HE wants is going to get pushed through, so when he is elected, he is not screwed over by a bad plan.

    Assist the current administration?????

No matter what election will take place,McCain played a political card today wanting to cancel the debate.

McCain's action won't delay the vote.

He is still an acting senator and is taking his responsibility seriously...unlike his opponent who is also a senator.

I said it this time last year that I wouldn't doubt that "something" would happen and Bush wouldn't leave office.

I don't see him leaving quietly....
