United States is considered as a rich country. What is the status of the common people there?

The word rich sounds as if all the people of United States are living happily without poverty. What about the people who don't get job? What about the old people who spent their early days with unrecognized small companies or shops?

There are 3 classes in America: upper class, middle class, and lower class.

Not many people in the population are upper class, they own mansions and have limousines.

Most of the population are middle class. They can support their families' health care, food, and general needs.

The lower class have very little money. They have no job, or have a minimum wage job (the government says $7 an hour is the lowest possible wage you can give someone).

Old people get money from Social Security or Pensions. When you work, you can pay a part of your paycheck into Social Security or your own Pension. They pay you back when you retire from work, usually around the age of 65.

A very astute question, obviously you have enough intelligence to understand that the model of American society has not eliminated poverty or reached all americans.

Some people are better off under this system but others are unable to keep up and have productive lives like most. these are the homeless and disadvantaged few that live in the streets and in the parks, pretty much just like the rest of the world.

In all my travels I have always been amazed by how similar we all are. People emphasize the differences between us, but it's really our similarities that make us stand out. Other people in the world think that all Americans are rich and we sit around all day eating and telling our Mexicans what to do, but the truth is that we are just like you. Many are rich and many are poor, there is money to be had for those who try and for those who choose to sit around all day and do nothing there is welfare. Not too many people starve cause there is free food, but if you want to live well, you have to earn it.

the United States has always been a rich country because of it's people and the democracy that we have enjoyed. free enterprise and hard work make a country great and rich. people without jobs are helped with assistance from the government. unfortunately giving things to people has become an excess. too many people get on the gravy train of handouts . for some folks living off others work is a way of life. they take no pride in being self sufficient. poverty is a comparable state. no one in this country need go hungry. weeding out the lazy and welfare smart parasites among us would make it easier to take care of the aged and disabled .

in terms of GDP, the US is the richest in the world

in terms of GDP per capita, im not so sure, but its certainly not incredibly low

unemployment is about 5% (i think) which is better than a lot of European countries (about 15%)

i don't understand your last question

in all, some people live in poverty, and a select few do own a majority of wealth, but the middle-class is pretty strong. better and more equal than some countries
