Looking for a reasonably priced wireless driveway alarm?
I have a Dakota 300 1400 ft range from Receiver to transmitter this and 1 other brand were not reliable ,reliable one day not the next ,go by it no alarm goes off etc.sent back once same prob.
I have a Dakota S3000 which is great when it works, then won't set alarm off at 5ft away, then after a while it works?

i purchased that $30 one from like Walter Drake, Carol Wright that type of catalog (don't remember the specific one). It too is unreliable, weather, animals, wind all play a part in false alarms.

If Dakota is not giving you the desired results, you can try with other system from Optex or Rodann. They too have some quality wireless driveway alarm which you will be useful for you. You can check those products in the website itself.

I had the same problems with my Dakota so I called the company and talked to an Engineer, he said to use a 12 volt lithium battery. it has worked perfectly for seven years, I would definitely buy another one.
