I got 3 points when I answered a question. Why ?

You probably received 2 points for the answer & another 1 point where someone must have given a thumbs up on a best answer you already received.

Are you sure? You get a point for just logging in, could that be where the extra point came from? also, if you choosean answer as best answer to one of your questions you get 3 points.

You're probably mistaken. if you answered a Q and it said thanks for answering you've got 3 points, then it's possible it was slow in alerting you to the one point you get just for signing in.

I wish I knew but I'm new on here and I don't know.

That said, I think you've lost 5 points asking this question. :(
