Why support trade unions if they support Obamma Socialistic agenda?

Last Friday, a Milwaukee talk show host asked why he should support any trade work (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc) on his home when their unions have endorsed Obamma. He is opposed to Obamma's Socialist agenda and feels that if he uses Union workers from the trade Unions, he is in effect supporting Obamma. He feels by not using them, is his only form of protest, i.e. why reward them financially, for a position they take publically, he disagrees with?

Update:

Angi=his point was, he could actually hire someone with equal or better qualifications or ability to perform the work. But, the trades are quite often supporting liberals and the actual members do not support them, but do nothing, except pay their dues. Again, he felt it was his only form of protest, by not hiring anyone who was a union member for future work.

    agreed.

unions are like a mini gov't giving the workers pink tape, before they can even get to the red tape of the government. oh, and unions are probably a tad bit more corrupt.

Tod Plain is a Proud, well-publicized Member of a Union.

Because union members will no longer be able to cast their vote in private. That way the union can see which way the workers vote.

Before you hire, have a questionnaire asking who did they vote for last, but don't ask about the quality of work or the price of labor. Just hire based on political preference. This is absurd!
