The pressure is the key for short bursts from an impact wrench. Steady, continuous use will empty the reservoir faster than the compressor fills it - but if you're willing to wait a short time for the compressor to build between using the gun, you'll have no problem.

Die grinders, pneumatic sanders and other continuous air sucking equipment will not operate satisfactorily from this compressor.

It will work for short bursts, It has the same pressure as larger capacity compressors just not the storage volume, meaning the tools max breakout will use up the volume of the tank very quickly and you will need to let it come up to full pressure before you can obtain the tools max again, time consuming but not out of the question if in a pinch.

6 gallon is too small. Assuming that you can get about 100-125 psi, it may work, but you 'll never get the maximum torques from the impact gun. Just try it out and see if it will work for you. It will be good for low torque stuff.

Remember shop air compressors have 5+hp motor and about 100 gallon tanks.

for the amount you are buying a new compressor thats 2hp 6gallon you can find a used one that will work much better for air wrenches around the house.

atleast a 20 gallon tank and no less then 2.5hp max of constant 150+ psi
