Does it matter how far into a game...?

Does it matter how far along you are in the GBA game as to acquire these elusive pokemon? I have all the GBA games and have put in the DS lite - GBA slot to try and get pokemon like magby and elekid. I have collected lotad and lombre while Sapphire has been in the slot fairly easy. I have been playing my pokemon Pearl game for almost 800 hours. On one site, Pokemon.marriland.com I think said that magby has a higher percent chance in Diamond...is this true? I already traded for these pokemon but I would like to catch them myself to try and get Electrizer and Magmarizer

Hey, Damian....the Venonat thing is that really true? Does it have to have the pickup ability?

    hiya. heres what i know.

    firered in the slot increases the chance of finding a elekid.

    leafgreen in the slot incerases the chance of finding a magby.

    the items, that those pokemon can hold are rare, trust me. i know from experience. the venonat thing dosnt work, i herd the same thing and tried it. its all rubbish.

    to find those items may take a while (it did me) so, in all fairness. it may be easyer to get battle revolution and just put in the codes. (if you want the codes email me)

    Yes, you can also have a Venonat at the front of your party to increase your chances of finding a Pokemon with an item attached.

    diamond has a better chance at some pokemon while pearl has a better chance at others. if diamond does have a better chance at magby then pearl has a better chance at something else, maybe an elekid or something.

    Yes its true. Think of it like this. Pearl can get a Croagunk, but not Stunky. Diamond can get Stunky, but not Croagunk.
