Why are men typically funnier than women?
Although I can think of several notable examples to the contrary, it seems to me that on average men are funnier than women. Is this merely a case of unhealthy sexist misperception, or is there genuinely some key difference between the genders which accounts for this phenomenon?

I think its because the traits that desirable females are supposed to have don't go hand-in-hand with comedy. Comedians have to be loud, a little mean, and aggressive. Girls could be funny, but they're socialized not to be any of those things.
