Linksys WRT300N router ?

I have a Linksys WRT300N router which connects into a DSL Modem box via ethernet cord. But i am having a problem connecting to the internet, whether it is by cable or wireless. The router apparently cant access the internet. But i can access the router from either a cable or Wirelessly connected PC. are there any sort of settings that i must change to get it to connect? I was a 2WIRE DSL Modem if that helps thanks (sorry if its a bit confusing, if you need for info just ask)

Update:

that doesnt work, have tried it a few times, and heres the thing, i got this router from a friend, plugged it right in, and everything worked. but he had set a password and couldnt remember it so i had to reset the router, now i cant connect to the internet

    in this order.

turn of computer, while computer is shutting down. disconnect the power from the modem. then disconnect the power from the router. leave PC, Modem, and Router off for 30secs.

    in this order

power on the PC, plug in the modem, wait 10sec then plug in router.

after that check your routers config page, type in either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 in your browser address area and see if the router sees the configuration numbers ( IP address ) of your ISP. if it does, you should be ok
