Do you feel a little "Off" when you don't run?

I know when I take one day off, I have so much energy for the next days run, but when I take 2 or more days off, I just don't feel like my normal self, it's like I've been running for so long, it's a part of me now...

oh I do indeed feel ''off'' when I don't run, I get down right p*ssy. Right now I'm supposed to be taking it off due to knee injury but after day 3 today, I headed out at lunch for the sake of my family!!!

OMG thats like me! so i had ot miss like a 3 weeks of running and when i got back with the team i was like energized and didn't tire out as they thought i would ahah. But then it catches up i guess..the days where u take off will lead to one feeling not normal.

When you do run it triggers beta endorphins in the brain to be released. Now this is the same chemical released when you are on extacy. Endorphins give you a feeling of euphoria, so when you suddenly stop getting this feeling you can sense the contrast.

When I'm not running, I don't know, it's weird, I just feel fat, plain and simple, like I'm an underachiever. After a good, long run, though, I feel amazing, like I'm going to conquer the world or something.

that's normal I guess. Because your body is so used to running so much if you just quit, It will feel weird. It is also a mind thing too.
