Its a Toyota, guy. It is highly likely to run 150k to 200k without major engine trouble if you just use regular 5 w 30. Unless you plan to keep it in the family forever and also put up with all the other stuff that wears out before the engine, save yourself some money and use regular oil.

How important is your truck to you? Do you want the best for it?

Regular dino oil is so good now that you could run it and be fine. But if you want the best and want to run the vehicle 6-10,000 miles between oil changes go with Syn Oil.

Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, Valvoline Synpower, Amsoil are all good oils.

Amsoil, Mobil 1, Wix, Napa Gold and Carquest Blue are all premium filters.

If it's a new motor you don't want to run synthetic right away. Most engine builders I know say to wait until 10,000 miles to start running synthetics, otherwise the engine isn't allowed to break in properly. After that it's up to you, but cheap synthetic isn't worth the extra money. The good stuff at $8-10 per quart makes for one expensive lube job.

Any kind of car engine oil is okey but Synthetic is better.
