Can I wear a retainer even if I never wore braces?
My teeth are pretty straight except for the two top front and a twisted one on the lower front off to the right.
I have all of my teeth minus my wisdom teeth, which were extracted when they became impacted.

yes, retainers are not just for people who had braces. but you need to go to your dentist and talk to him/her.

Well retainer is for keeping the teeth the way they are and prevent shifting and moving. If you want to prevent the lower front tooth from more shifting then wear the retainer but if you think retainer will straighten the teeth, then the answer is no.
Professional opinion.

A retainer isn't going to straighten out your turned teeth. It's just going to hold (or retain) the current position.. which is why it's given after finishing with braces; to hold your teeth in position until they "set" into place.

Yeah! I wear a retainer to bed because my two front teeth are going to ****. I never had braces when everybody else did, but retainers are the way to go!

Yes you can wear retainers if you want to but it cannot guarantee that it will fix your teeth easily as braces can do.

Yup. For really mild cases, only a retainer is necessary.
But if you have a twisted tooth, you might need braces.

u could but it wont do anything.
the use of a retainer is to keep your teeth from moving after removing the braces.
since your teeth never moved, it wont do anything.
