You should always try to match your speakers ( at least the front three ) to ensure that they all sound the same. Using unmatched speakers can result in less than optimal sound and be distracting when watching a movie.
Having a 3-way vs a 2-way speaker isn't a big deal as long as you choose a decent manufacturer and pick something you like the sound of.

Go with 2 way speakers all around and a dedicated, self-powered subwoofer.
The placement of the center or left/right is not usually the better position in the room for bass so you can actually cause more problems with a woofer in the center speaker. Let the dedicated sub take care of the bass.
And you want all 5 speakers to tone match so the sounds dont change as they swirl around the room. It's actually better to have 5 inexpensive matching speakers instead of a mix of expensive speakers.
Dont know what "Beta" speaker is. I do suggest you only look at speakers from real speaker companies - where speakers are their main business.
