connection time at DFW?
if I'm flying American airlines to DFW (From Lax)and my flight lands at 1:00
and my connection flight departs at 2:45pm (also on American)
is that enough time between flights?

Yes, that should be more than adequate. They will (or at least usually do) give the connecting gate information before landing, but check the TV screens anyway after you come off the plane because things do sometimes change.
I always suggest going right away to the departure gate and then deciding (when you actually know how much time you have to work with about getting something to eat, etc.

i'm unsure the place the 1st answer gets "between the worst for layovers ..." considering the fact that each and every of the amenities are interior protection and since the 2nd answer says, there's a prepare that runs around between terminals (with a great view of the airport) interior protection so which you do not would desire to bypass with the aid of back once you alter terminals, and so on. The few different terminals I genuinely have been in have a great hub, yet not something out close to the gates and that's that this way of long hike out and in to the hub that being confident of connection isolates you from them.

As soon as you get to LAX, go to your gate and then check the screens once you get there. Things change fast at LAX. Board the plane. As SOON as you get off that plane check the screens at DFW. They're ALWAYS changing. Especially with American - so watch the monitors!!!

That is defininetly plenty of time to get to your next gate. It would also depend on whether you are going to a different terminal, what terminal you're in (e.g. Terminal D is very large and takes some time to get around it.), etc. To pass the time, I would read a book, listen to music, all that stuff, but you might not want to use their Wi-fi because it's $10 to connect to it.

you would have to run!. Normally you should allow at least 2 hours between domestic flights at DFW and 2 and a half for int'l flight connections

plenty!
But it is entirely possible you WILL have to change terminals--AA is in 4 terminals, A, B, C, and D. There is a train on the secure side, though, which operates every couple of minutes.

DFW airport is huge, but you will have ample time to change planes. Most likely you will not have to change terminals, but even if you do you will be able to do so.

Since they are both on AA you will not have to change Terminals and that should be plenty of time.
