Progams online for teenagers who want to write for a profession?

I want to be a writer for a newspaper whether it be sports or opinionated writing. At school they made me take this test to see what I would be comfortable doing for a living and the results said, Newspaper Editor/Author. And then my teacher made me write about current events and a 1000 word short story and she loves them both. I'm 8th grade if it matters.

So I was wondering if there was anything availible online that would help my skills grow so I could be the best of the best when I grow up. Thanks.

does your school have a school newspaper or monthly flyer? As if you can write for that for now... its good experience and looks terrific on a resume!

now - if your parents agree - here is a site you can write for and they will PAY YOU - its free to join, alghough you might not be old enough, I am not sure if their is an age requirement... but if there is just hve mom or dad sign up for you.

I get paid by paypal but they will mail you a check..

here is the link to join.

here is an example of what a finished article would look like (its about pets but you can write about sports if you want)
