how do i get wi-fi on my ipod touch?

i just got it and i know nothing about it. all that money it cost and it didn't even come with directions. but anyways i cant access youtube, navigation or any of those things unless i have wi-fi. its on but its not working and i need a password. should i call apple customer service have them do it? or do i have to purchase something?

my mom just brought a wireless modem from bellsouth. so do i have to call bellsouth?

hiya, you go into settings then wifi. if you don't have a wireless router you need to buy one to access the internet.it will recognise your router then you have to type in the password that came with your router, or Internet company.

It should refresh then it should work! hope this helped,

you need a wireless modem.
who ever set up the network should be able to give you the password.

all you need to do go on the internet and before you go , there will sign come up saying which internet you want to connect to , you always connect to an net work name  but should unsecured which allow use other people internet for free.

you need the password
the wep code

go to settings then wifi and click a connection. if its locked then you need the wep code/password. if its unlocked then you dont need one
