So, i got my back handspring on a wedge today :D

Congrats! Most people actually get their round off backhand spring before a standing back handspring. That is because it is much easier to get the momentum into the handspring after the roundoff. Don't be afraid of it. You will probably practice both with your instructor (on the floor and round off back handspring) Just pay attention to your body and do whatever you think is comfortable. A lot of times, getting your handspring is mental as well as physical. Just practice with confidence and get a feel for what your body should be doing. You'll be doing them in no time!
