How come all the models are white?

There are a lot of African American Women Who Are Models And Latino Women Who Are Models.

But i understand your question perfectly.

There are indeed more white models shown in the media then black models. have you not forgot this is "America" the truth is that white women are shown as the beauty and light of america and around the world. they are considered the most desired women on the face of the planet. "YOU GUYS KNOW THIS IS TRUE" almost in every book you see a white model, almost every T.V show.

White women are showcase period as the # 1 standard! and you are 100% correct white and skinny is the ideal image of pretty in the media. Because that is what considered beauty in today's society,

Also if you look at the Spanish! channel you see more Hispanic/Latino women of European descent then of any other descent that helps make up there culture.

But as far as the modeling a black women or Latino women with HELLA curves will not fit into the standard "White" Media (Keeping it real) hype. if so the black or latino women must be REAL SKINNY!!!!

and look like a spaghetti stick.

Beauty standards maybe? On catwalks and major fashion shows, you can always count women of color on one hand.

It's funny how most of these answers mention Tyra, who doesn't do much modeling anymore and Naomi, who is still fabulous, but has been around a while and has even said herself there needs to be more diversity in the modeling world. Anytime someone asks about black models, the same three names come up(Tyra, Naomi, Iman and maybe Beverly Johnson). Don't get me wrong, they are all definitely pioneers in the modeling industry, and not only for black women, but only one of them is still actively modeling. I think the question is why aren't there currently more black "super models"? I can think of three young black models who are certainly on their way; Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn and Jessica White.

The only black women models you see are the ones with white features and looked like they have been dipped in caramel .I don't know if you call it racist, I guess it is preference . The Media sells what the people want to buy ,if they wanted African looking models then they would be happy to take the pictures I guess. It all comes down to money and who is buying .
