yes, if I remember, he was in a tent and a bunch of men ran in and shot him. 2pac did the same thing, but he came back in a much more angry way.
How did I know some older person would get angry about mentioning a rapper. Your generation thinks 2pac had no talent and was "drugged out", my generation sees a man with talent who went to Baltimore School of the Arts, published a poetry book, practiced ballet, was a successful actor, got shot 5 times and survived to flick the camera off(as a message to the people who shot him) while on the stretcher and put out a song about it the next day, then went to prison for being accused of rape by a woman who accused another rapper of rape and followed with a law suit (gee I wonder if she was lying), came out of prison on bail and went on to sell more albums than anybody else ever did in his genre. You may not like rap, or anyone from the ghetto for that matter, but you should give credit to the man for overcoming more obstacles in 3 years than majority of people do their entire lives. The generation above you, the people who are in their 70s now look at Bob Marley as a pothead punk who sang about shooting sheriffs and smoking pot. Its all a matter of perspective. They dont see clearly what Bob Marley was really about because they already made their mind up about him from the start, simply because they dont know his music, dont like it, and thats as far as it goes with them, much like you do with 2pac. Sure he made a statement that might have appealed to you, but 2pac made statements that appealed to people who are from where hes coming from. Same guy that did songs like "keep ya head up" and "changes" which are probably the most positive rap songs of all time and make more statements in one paragraph then most people do in their entire songs. As for the statement he made, it obviously didnt have much influence on you because you still felt the need to make an angry statement about a dead man.
I just answered this question about a half hour after I answered the question below. Tupac's music obviously made a difference in many people's lives, even though you don't relate to it or understand it.

If memory serves me correctly yes he did.
And for the person who compared Bob Marley to that idiot tupac, Bob Marley was making a statement, tupac was just a drugged out punk with no talent.
