Car battery terminals?
Explain how the positive terminals get the white acid build up on them when the battery is fully enclosed

There is a breach in the battery, either at the terminals or at the service cover. the charging of the battery will vaporize the electrolyte (acid water mix) in the battery through the vents. This is mostly water as the sulphuric acid will not readily vaporize. Could also be a crack in the battery housing. The white buildup is lead oxide caused by the sulphuric acid and oxygen reacting with and attacking the lead terminal on the battery. This can accumulate onh both terminals.

you may sparkling your battery the two way. I even have achieved the two without situation. in basic terms spray it on and if there is fairly some crude use a broom to interrupt up the vast stuff. Then spray returned permit it take a seat, and spray it off with the backyard hose. many of the time there isn't sufficient water puddled on the battery to do something. you may touch the two terminals with your hand and don't get stunned.

Lets keep this simple Bob, think of it like this:a car batteries
voltage flow is positive to negative, so the current moves up the positive side of your battery every time your car needs it.
When this happens the molicules of some acid flows with
the current, thus causing small molicules to form on the
positive post.
It is also very hard to contain eletrolite and
the cases will seep a little.

the battery acide leaks out of the terminals when they are engergized causing them to seep through as the battery gets older causing the acid to form on the terminals

fumes still vent from the battery as it does it's work and the acid gets attracted to the terminals. clean them off with a mix of baking soda & water and a wire brush. rinse with water. when dry if you cover them with grease or petroleum jelly it will keep the terminals clean.
