Christians, don't you believe that God is both immortal and all-powerful?
What about this?
Would God have the power to kill himself? If he was all-powerful, omnipotent, he would have no limit to his power.
Yet, if he was immortal, he would be indestructable. There would be no literal way to destroy him by ANY means, if there were, that would mean he was simply mortal, right?
Regardless of the motive, that's not in question here. The question is *if he could*. If he was omnipotent, he would have the power to kill himself, because his power is infinite and not limited in any way. Yet if he was immortal, he would not have the power to kill himself because he would be indestructable and conclusively could not come to die by any means.
So how could he be both?

Paradox. True perfection is impossible, even in theory, as you pointed out here. Since you made it clear it's not "would" it's "could", clearly one must yield to the other, making an imperfection. Which one it is, I'm not sure.

God is all powerful and infinite. But we limit him and ask questions like these that insult human intelligence. We frown on those who commit suicide. We limit him asking god can't do everything because he can't lie. Can't is a word humans came up with can't did not exist in early vocabulary. In some languages there is no translation for can't. So the proper answer would be he wouldn't do any of the things you question. That is the difference between him and us we will he won't.

You have a great question but it cannot be answered of God. God is Love so to do what you say would go against His character (to use his power for destruction). Your question presupposes that God is not love and some power hungry immortal being. His power is for the purpose of giving life not muscle flexing and destruction. Therefore your question is based on false presuppositions which makes your question void.

An interesting question. But if God does exist then it is impossible for us as God's creations to define our own creator. Much like it is impossible for the characters in a novel to define the author that created them (unless the author wants them to of course)
Therefore the boundaries that apply to us do not exist for that which created us.

You are talking about a being so powerful that he commanded the entire universe into existence by merely speaking it into existence....and you think humans can comprehend him?
Any mortal who claims to understand all the mysteries of God is full of bull.

God is all mighty and all powerful. Its a sin for a person to commit suicide. Therefore, God wouldn't kill himself even though he can. He loves all his children and wouldn't want to abandon us. He's a loving God who is and always will be here for his children. Furthermore, He's got bigger fish to fry with people like yourself.

if God choose to kill Himself then God would be sinning. why? because if God died all and everything would cease to exist and that means that God would be hurting many many many people and God cannot hurt those who are His children. for these have made a choice to know their Father. just as a good dad could not hurt his child. if this happened then God would not be love.
Peace!!

He qualifies the terms if you read throught the bible. He cannot do anything. He says he canot lie. So that is a limitiation. The saying he can do all things is a generalisation. He can do all things within his nature.

He disappears within a puff of logic, because Babel Fish exist?

Oh, no, wait, while I'm at it, he'd be like the elves in Tolkien who would only be able to die from battle, not old age.
