Eight weeks preg and I am SO tired!! I feel like I can't even move. How can I get more energy safely?
I am eight weeks pregnant with # 2 and I feel like I could sleep for a month. I took two hour long naps today (while my son was napping) and slept 10 hours last night. I NEED to get up and get stuff done!! I am taking pre-natals and an Iron supplement. How can I get some get up and go??
Oh, and I was not drinking caffeine to begin with, so it is not from giving up caffeine.
Kristy--oh no, there is "morning" sickness too. I feel like I am going to ralph all day long!!

I can sympathize. I have 4 kids, with all of them, for the first 3 months, I was ready to go back to sleep, even before I got up. Best advise, nap every chance you get, if mom comes over to visit with your son, go nap! I've also learned "stuff" always needs to be done, however, it will be there tomorrow and the next day, etc. Right now, spend time with your first born, cause when the new one is here, he is going to seem like he grew up overnight! If anyone complains about how the house looks, tell them to clean it! Gotta get your priorities right! (Of course, don't take it to the other extreme....the kids can't have critters running across dirty dishes and floors...pick a nice balance) Good luck!

I was the exact same way during my whole last trimester. I was too lazy to do laundry, dishes, etc., and pretty much laid on the couch all day. Sounds like you deserve a good nap with have a 4 year old AND being 37 weeks pregnant. I wish you the best of luck and your energy will return to full strength a few weeks after you have your baby girl!

Dont fight it...just sleep and rest! This would be a good time to have daddy step in and do a little extra. The safest way to get more energy is wait about 4 weeks. You should start to feel better then!

Walking, is good. Some kind of exercise, that is comfortable to you. Maybe, just fresh air and sunshine. That may also help the little one to have a deeper sleep too.

Take naps. It's pretty much all you can do until this extreme tiredness passes. I'm 19 weeks and still pretty tired.
