Lakers - Kobe sits in the 4th qtrs lol nuff said.

Cavs - Lebron sits in 4th qtrs lol nuff said.

    * Says a lot about how much better the supporting cast is for those 2 players. And it definitely helps that their team can defend opponents and lock down teams, especially when it's

backed by such a great offensive which feature a player who can single handedly take over games.

Celtics - They have the big 3, and the emergence of Rondo into that offense the reason they won 19 straight. And they have the best defense in the league, which again is reinforced by good offense.

Spurs - They have their original 3, and also feature the emergence of their scrub/bench players taking part in larger roles like Hill, Mason and Bonner. And they average the fewest turnovers in the league. This team is so fundamental, they coach themselves.

Magic - They have the most dominant centre in the league today next to Shaq who average 21ppg, 14 rpg, 4 bpg . They're an excellent offensive team, they can kill you in the post and shoot lights out behind they arc with Lewis & Turkoglu. Plus Jameer has been on fire as of late.

1)Lakers- Kobe is still the #1 player in the NBA and is capable of returning to (05-06) form in a flash if necessary, combine that with a solid second star in Pau Gasol, a veteran PG in Fisher, a young big man with potential in Bynum along with a deep bench and you get a team that will contend for an NBA Championship.

2)Celtics-They play solid defense anchored by Kevin Garnett. Add to that they have 2 good offensive players in Allen and Pierce. Also Rondo's development at point guard has been impressive. Their only weakness is their bench aside from Powe the rest of the bench is simply mediocre.

3)Cavaliers-LeBron can not be stopped in the open floor due to his strength. Their backcourt is small but seems to work them. Big Z is still playing like a top 5 center after all these years and their bench can maintain leads for the most part. Main weakness is Big Ben, there was once a time that his defensive ability made up for his lack of an offensive game. Sadly that time has past.

4)Magic-They have the best center in the game today in Howard, if he were able to make free throws more consistently I'd say the Magic would be the team to beat in the east. They won't be All Stars but Nelson, Lewis and Turkoglu have played very well. Bogans is their least effective starter but at least he can hit 3s and make FTs if necessary. Their bench isn't great but come playoff time all of their starters with the exception of Bogans will be playing 40 MPG.

5)Rockets-I think if this team can finally come together they have a good shot to win the West. T-Mac hasn't really been himself all season but come playoff time he always plays his heart out. Yao is arguably the second best center in the game but if the rockets want to contend then he has to develop a mean streak otherwise the other teams inside players are going to dominate like Boozer did in 07. Artest should focus solely on defense and not force any shots. Rafer is good at spreading the floor and Scola/Landry can out hustle almost any other players on the floor. They have a solid bench highlighted by Aaron Brooks.

    Honorable Mention:Spurs, Hornets, Hawks

a million. Lakers 2. Cavs 3. Celtics 4. Spurs 5. Magic 6. Nuggets 7. Trailblazers I stored Rockets out of the record through fact they don't have Artest now and that they could be with out Yao next season and Mutumbo is retired so as that they haven't any solid backup on the middle place

    Not in any order:

Cavs- With the addition to Mo, the Cavs have someone to help James

Celtics- Still dominate with their defense and 3 all stars

Lakers- Have the best player with Gasol and now Bynum, also arguably the best bench

Spurs- With Ginobilli back, Spurs are rolling

Rockets- Ming, T-Mac and Artest have played well together
