Beginner information on Buddhism?

I don't know much about Buddhism, but what I do know I find interesting, and I'd like to know more. Can you recommend a book to read so that I might learn more? Thank you.

Any books by Thich Nhat Hanh are an excellent way to start. I'd recommend his "Teachings of the Buddha" for starters, and if you like his writing you'll enjoy "The Miracle of Mindfulness" and "Peace is Every Step" which offer great tips on meditation and daily practices. I'd also look into books by the Dalai Lama and Lama Surya Das. Other than that, I would browse about the internet--a simple search of "Beginner Buddhist" brings up tons of great websites. But other than that it's a journey you'll have to begin yourself.

The basic Buddhist belief is well explained in the 'China Falun Gong' book. The Falun Gong practice is discussed in details in the Zhuan Falun Lecture. Both books and meditation demonstration video are free to download from the URL listed below. If you need any help, contact a local practitioner in your area for free instructions.

Falun Gong was found in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi in China. About 100 million followers like the practice in over 80 countries worldwide. Falun Gong is an ancient practice for the body, mind, and spirit based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises.

Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Daoists have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?

in accordance with place up. I dont think of buddism de-values issues that are significant that is extra beneficial to declare that , that is not a devalue yet a be conscious of-how why issues circulate a undeniable way , friends , and famlly If one among em die that's a threat to cry and pass over thst man or woman yet you do understand that issues circulate as they circulate. Buddism is approximately enlightment approximately letting circulate not conserving directly to issues to business enterprise And it teaches approximately ego and the state of wich that's now (a countrywide extensive insanity) Buddism has extra to do with spirtuality than christianity ever tried.. (at wich they denied mystism through not installation the egoistical thinking ) theory i could have examine they even prosecuted them Letting circulate of issues is the main efficient human gadget , yet you may the two love them possibly much extra.

The internet is a good a place to start your search as any other. However please bear in mind that all religious belief systems that are lop sided, ie a man/women only club, are unbalanced.

All are equal in spritual ability are rights, and saying otherwise is just so much egotistical trash.
