wrong! sorry, it depends on the girl... situation. some do it as a statement.. some are lazy but in many cases when the armpit is shaven (and many should not remove their hair, it's there for a reason..) this is pubic hair, hair that grows because of glandular development.. and for the armpit.. sorry, unfortunately it's nessesary.

when armpit hair is removed... suddenly:

lymph is irritated and oil, fluid distribution is hampered.. thus the potential for acne, swollen lymp and cycsts can develop. rashes and irritation of other types can be initiated and thus damage to the pores and lymph can occur.

i know many females who do shave their pits but suffer dearly.. my wife gave it up years ago when she had serious difficulty with her lymph... the doctor recommended no more shaving... and limit her use of deoderants... or use something hypoallergenic.

this can also happen in other regions.. other pubic regions or the face.

most times it happens in the arm pits because the pits don't get the air circulation they should... because of the fold of the pit and the clothing we wear...

electrolasis is not recommened for the armpits... most times that doesn't work and can cause damage to the pores and lymph.

YOU may think it's GROSS because you may not have to deal with these very common issues connected to the lymph... and those who make claims about others being lazy or dikey.. don't think about these matters...

immaturity is so widespread about grooming and capacity on one's hair in general.

in all actuality, you're suppose to leave that hair alone down there... constant irritation can do some irreverseable damage to the arm pits.. your armpits are a very functional item when it comes to ventilation and that hair is suppose to keep dirt and dead skin from impacting pores and clogging nodes.

if one must shave there... for any reason.. only do the shaving when that reason comes up.. every other time... or the rest of the time just please let the hair grow and allow the armpits to do their job.. and they can't do it with full success without the help of the hair....

treat those armpits well.... if they become problematic they can become a serious condition...

always wash the armpits daily.. with gentle applications and if one uses antiperspirants alot.. always cleanse away those adjuncts when it's not nessesary to have them.

like with everywhere's else on the body and face, especially where there's hair growth.

    Because they can.

Beauty is a perception, not a fact.

If what keeps someone from befriending a person is the amount of hair under their arms, their is something seriously wrong there, and it's not with the armpit hair.

Because some cultures don't shave, and it isn't gross to THEM.

Don't look at them, it's just hair..it's natural.
