My first symptom was frequent urination. I thought I had a bladder infection. My doctor told me to to go take a pregnancy test first (we were going on vacation the next day) and I did. Found out it was pregnancy and not a urinary tract infection (though you can have those more frequently during pregnancy.) And yes, being tired was another symptom. Those were my only pregnancy signs until my 6th week, that's when my horrible morning sickness started, but not everyone gets that. Just make sure that if you feel a little sick, to try to get some food down. It got worse if I refused to eat and then I'd be really sick.
Also I'd take my prenatal pills at night so they wouldn't make me feel so sick. Congratulations on the pregnancy. My pregnancy creeped slowly at the beginning, but after my 2nd trimester if flew by. I miss being pregnant :)

Get reading, girl!
I read the Your Pregnancy, Week By Week book and What To Expect when You're Expecting. The Week by Week book is better- it has pictures of your baby for every single week of it's development, as well as tons of information. The only problem is the index isn't the greatest, so sometimes it's hard to look stuff up. But my husband and I have made a tradition of reading the chapter that corresponds to my pregnancy week together, in bed, every Sunday.
What to Expect is good, too, in different ways. It has a lot about nutrition, complete with recipes and the different food groups. But the developmental pictures are done monthly, and they aren't that good or satisfying... I like to see how my baby is developing. Also, it's not written by doctors. But if you need to look something up quickly, it's easy, and the index is good.
Have fun learning about your growing baby and the changes that will happen to your body! Seriously... when I was in the throes of morning sickness and exhaustion and just trying to get through the first-trimester blues, it was so nice to read through those books. They remind you of what your body is doing and how important it is.

Well it would be hard for anyone to diagnose what symptoms you may or may not have; every pregnancy is different. Being tired, though, is normal and you can have that as well as nausea a lot throughout the first trimester. When you have your first appointment, the doctor will ask you about your health history, check your blood pressure, give you a pap smear, and do an ultrasound to make sure everything is looking well inside. Good luck and Congrats!

It sounds normal to me. My best friend got pregnant a year before I did and when she told me she just though she had the flu before she found out she was pregnant I though she was kidding. This year I got pregnant and the first few weeks I felt like I had the flu also: I was tired all the time, achy all over...plus I had to use the bathroom a bit more. You might develop morning sickness later on, but then again you may be one of the lucky ones who never gets it.

That's the exact same symptoms I had. I was extremely tired and had to go to the bathroom a lot too so yeah this is completely normal. The increased blood flow in your uterus makes you have to go more often. Towards the end of the pregnancy it's the baby pushing on your blatter.
Start taking your vitamins, eat lots of fruits and veggies, drink lots of more, stay away from sugar and saturated fats, exercise and enjoy life! Congratulations! :D

Hi im 20 weeks and 3 days pregnant .
It is normal to use the restroom alot in the first and last trimesters .
I didn't feel pregnant up until this week when I finally felt my baby girl move.
As far as fatigue I was sleepy all the time ...2nd trimester however I want to just prepare, prepare, prepare ...so I am constantly busy doing something surrounding our future addition.

That's all normal so far! I didn't get morning sickness with either one of mine but certain smells and tastes made me want to!!! Expect to be in awe once you feel that baby moving (around 3 to 3 1/2 months) and the most blessed and indescribable feeling the first time you hear the heartbeat, see the ultrasound and most of all, that precious angel's face! Good luck adn congratulations!!!

There is no "usual" when it comes to pregnancy, every woman has unique symptoms and some have none at all. Invest in a few good pregnancy books, they will answer many of your common questions and will prove very valuable resources throughout your pregnancy.
