Ipod touch?!??!?! 1st generation/ 2nd generation! ?

I just bought a 1st gen ipod touch. I asked about this also. I was told that the 2nd gen one is alittle different shape (rounded) it has a speaker with a volume control. And the biggest difference I have noticed, and yes I was told about it, is the 2nd generation one has the apps store already on it. The 1st gen does not, I had to buy it off of itunes for about $10. Then I had to find the software download for it, since everything is already assumed to be set up for the 2nd gen. Got a great deal on my 1st gen and I LOVE it!!!

They are both pretty much the same. The only difference is that the 2nd generation it thinner and has updated features. But you can still get the 1st generation one and do all the same things with it by downloading the software update. My advice is for you to buy the 2nd generation ipod touch. The design is nicer and it's just has an overall better appeal.

There is some pretty cool differences. The 2nd gen is more curved on the back and thinner, making it sleeker and more comfortable. It also has a speaker inside on the 2nd gen so you can play your music outloud and external volume controls.

The second generation ones are an upgrade on the first generation one which means all you can buy now are the second generation ones. You can get them anywhere electronics are sold or at the apple store or website.

2nd generation is just an updated version of the first one.

you can only buy 2nd generation now all it means is its the updaed ersion of te 1st ipod touch

The 2nd Gen is newer.
