Filling popped out. Any suggestion for what to do until I can visit my dentist?
Greetings,
About a two years ago I broke a large part of a tooth, the entire front part of it to be exact. (Upper right way in the back of my mouth, Molar I believe it is called.) Anyway the Dentist was able to fix it by replacing it the missing part.
The filling fell out last night after two years. The Gum around feels very awkward like how a a leg or arm feels like when it falls asleep. The tooth is a new adventure in pain with every breath.
Anyone got any suggestion for me about how to take care of my tooth until I can go to my dentist and have him take a look at it?

You can buy temporary filling material at any pharmacy. It's kind of like gum. Place this in the hole to get you through the weekend. It will also help with the sensitivity.

You can buy a temporary filling kit usually from Boots the chemist (something like Dentanurse) or if you don't have one near you just ask at you local chemist. Its what dentists have in their surgeries. It will be like a putty material and you will be able to wedge a piece in with your finger. Hope this helps.
