How long have u been riding?!?

I just wanna know how long people have been riding horses... and a description of their first ever horse!!! Here is my info.

I have been riding ever since i was 10. I am currently 16! My first horse was Satin!

Satin- When we got her... Satin was 19 years old! She was 1/2 QH and 1/2 Arabian. She was only 14.3 max! She was swayed backed! She was a very good horse though... I fell off her for the 1st time like a few weeks after we got her!!! It sucked... but im alright!!! She was a chestnut/brown... very b-e-a-utiful!!! Lol... She had a nice barrel belly!!! Lol. She had a crooked blaze and 2 stockings!!! We had her for 3 years... maybe a little less... but we needed to cut back... and stupid me said wat the heck... just sell Satin for like 300 bucks. Idk y i said that!!! So we sold her... and then the ppl who bought her sold her cuz she wasnt real good with the farrier... and instead of giving her back... they sold her and no idk where she is but i hope she is still alive!!! She would be around 25!!! Please send good detailed answers!!! Thanks!!!

The first time to be on a horse was when i was like a few months old and that was our pony name mary..she died or something beacuse she had arthritis ...when i was like 4 we got another horse and we still have her now i dont know her age. WE lived on a busy road. a few years later we got a aribaian but she was only trained to walk and trot and she was beautiful horse but my mom sold her so that she could be train all the way.. we moved to a new house and we got a shetleand pony. at this time we have only 2 horses. So i learned how to ride around the age of 8 like really now how to ride and we had the shetland for like 5 years my mom sold her.. and than 2 years ago my mom bought me a morgan that was 16 and now i ride her. She is very weried im use to control the horse by using it neck not by the sides...im almost 15 this years so i been around horses like alll my life

Since I was 8 and I am 14 know...I didn't ride very much from with time I was 9 until I was about 12 though :P, because I didn't have a trainer and my horse was naughty lol.

I got my first horse when I was 9 he was 3 (bad idea...don't do it haha) he did crush my confidence for awhile, because he was very naughty and I was only a begineer. Though it really wasn't a very bright idea for us to get him we have always made a good match and we kick butt now xD I started REALLY riding (showing and riding 5+ days a week) when I was about 12 and I got back with my trainer I had when I was 8 and 9 and we have been doing really well since then. He is an 8y/o chestnut Quarter Horse gelding named Little Big Man aka Buckshot. he is still VERY naughty, but he doesn't buck or refuse jumps anymore, and I can handle him much better now...occasionally he gets a little full of himself and tries to go alot faster. He mainly just takes out his naughtiness in the pasture and is very bossy towards the other horses xD I love him very much, and in the long run all those years of falling off and getting back on where soooooo worth it :D

I started riding when I was 6, and now it's 34 years later...

My first lesson horse was Lonesome, a chestnut.

I got my first horse when I was 11. Her name was Jenny and she was a chestnut 14.2 hand, 8 year old QH that had only been ridden for 2 months, and hadn't been handled much before that. I ended up using her for Pony Club and eventing through training level. I took her to college with me. I kept her until she died at age 25, due to a badly shattered hind leg (she must have kicked into a hay rack in an old dairy run-in shed)

My mom rode with me in front of her in the saddle since I could set up at about 1-2 years old. We had two Q.H. Prince and Cousa. I got my own horses for my fourth Christmas. His name was Joker and he was about 11 hand pony. He had a flaxen mane and trail and was dappled brown. He would buck us off and run from us all the time. My next horse was Sugar. She was the worlds best horse. She was a POA/Arab cross. Sugar was a flea bitten gray. She was about 13.1" I had her until I was a Senior in High School. I rode her every day for years and used her to work on several different cattle ranches and cattle drivers. She was great....

I am 35+ years old now so both of those horses are long since gone. I have had many horses since then and have done many different disciplines. I have also trained horses and given lessons but in my life these two horses stick out the most. (of course the horses that I have right now mean a lot to me)

I've been riding since i was 12, and I'm now almost 18, so 5.5 years or so. I just bought my first horse about two years ago. I actually had to go behind my parents backs to get him, because they said NO HORSE. So i got a job and saved my money, and walh-lah!! I bought myself the cutest three month old QH stud colt. Sorrel, with a blonde mane and tail, and two socks. It was actually a miracle that I found him. Some people moved in down the road, and I was walking and seen that they had some horses. And then, this little colt popped up rom the ground (he was sleeping lol) and I said to myself, "that's him. that's my horse." So i bought him, and there was nothing my parents could do about it. lol. but please, nobody EVER do that. I realize now that I'm older, how irresponsible and reckless that was of me. But anyways, he's my best friend, and I'm his momma.

    here's his picture:

he's almost three years old now, and he's such a good horse. He's so broke, that I give my four year old cousin lessons on him. I love my Desperado!!

oh, and was your mare named after the girl in the moulin rouge?? that's my favorite movie!!!

i started riding when i was around 4 now i am 15 so like 11 yrs

the first horse i ever rode was a 15hh QH gelding named montana, he was and still is a great horse- he is owned by these people who have over 50 horses and counting. i rode him double with a boy who's family owned him, since i had never ridden one before and was so little.

but i only rode him for like 15 min.

my first horse i got when i was 8 he was 1- 2 yrs old his name is razzmatazz but we call him razz for short. he is a QH/ buckskin tabiano paint, and is the most curious and funny horse that i have ever known. he is full grown now and around 14.5 hands tall i mostly use him for western pleasure and trail rides and stuff, but he can do lots of trix in the saddle- so he's kinda like a trick riding horse, he is also pretty good at roping. i have always loved barrel racing an pole bending but he isn't that great at it so i wanted to get something else.

two years ago i got my second horse named lady- she is a QH/ Arabian mix- brown and white paint mare, who is around the 14 hh, i dunno i haven't measured her but she is shorter than razz and i can just hop on her like an indian. and she is amazing at barrels and poles, but can be used for anything and i s good at everything, and isnt scared of anything too- she is a great horse- i am using her in jackpots and high school rodeo-she is such a good horse (when i ride her it kinda looks funny because im 5'10 and shes so short so it just looks funny!

i've been riding since i was 3, techinically (well, i sat on the pony and my mum ran me round until i slid off and cried for like an hour) and now im 16. my first ever horse i rode was melody. shes was a strawberry roan welsh mountain sec A and was only 11.1hh and she was perfect and adorable and my mum bought her for me when i turned 7. i did gymkana and showjumping (like 1ft9) on her but she was quite old and i grew fast and grew out of her onto a new pony. i didn't want to sell her, even thought it was selfish coz i couldn't ride her anymore, i just loved her too much, but then we found two little boys who desperately needed a pony because there one sadly passed away and it look kinda like melody (except it was a boy) and so we put her on loan to them and they have the most HUGEST yard ever and shes soooo happy there. shes 26 now and showing her age a bit, but we still visit her every weekend coz shes just up the road and she still neighs when she sees me. shes soo sweet!

well i was in the saddle at 6 months with my mom on her horse cachina (not sure if thats how its spelled) then i rode my aunts horses and such

I got my first horse at 6 her name was Porcelana she was a full blooded peruvian paso that was saddle broke at the age of 13 she was a brood mare all her life, she was the greatest horse in the world she was my best friend i had her for 3 years. Well the lady that my parents had bought her from was training me to do lead line classes with her and 2 weeks before our first show the lead mare in the pasture kicked her in the shoulder and shattered it she had to be taken to davis horse clinic for surgery they put a metal plate in her shoulder and after that she was unrideable... :( i cried for weeks, she got really bad arthritis in her shoulder about 4 years later, she was being used again as a brood mare by a peruvian paso breeder who bought her from my parents.. i belive she lived to her late 20s?? and prodouced 4 good show Peruvians...
