the pork staek is a cut from the shoulder. they will have a portion of the shoulder blade in it, not a real large bone . they can be fried , baked or grilled. either way they are good. depending on how you like them anyway is fine to cook. they will be listed in meat case as pork shoulder steak or some places will call it boston butt steak , they are all one in the same just different places call them differently

I made this recipe the other night with pork chops, but imagine pork steak would work well, too. My husband loved it so much, he is still talking about how good they were (I used more brown sugar than the recipe calls for) --

    Brown Sugar Chops

    6 pork chops

    6 tablespoons brown sugar

    6 tablespoons butter or margarine

    1 tablespoon soy sauce

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place the chops in a 9x13 inch baking pan. Place 1 tablespoon of brown sugar on top of every chop. Place 1 tablespoon of margarine on top of the brown sugar. Sprinkle chops with soy sauce.

Cover pan with foil and bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until browned.

I fry them up in a little olive oil, then set aside. Add a package of brown gravy and deglaze the bottom of the pan. Add some mushrooms and parsley, then the pork steaks back in. Serve with potatoes and veg.

    Vinegar pork!

My grandomother showed me this. Marinate your pork in vinegar, salt and garlic for an hour or two then cook as usual.

    tasty, tangy, and DIFFERENT!~

You can also bread them with the Italian bread crumbs. This is delicious. I also like to rub mine with the Lipton Garlic Herb Soup Mix. It comes in a package and it is dry. (This is great on chicken and turkey) There are many prepared marinades on the market both in bottled and dry form. Try them.

fried, grilled, baked, I usually fix them on the george foreman seasoned with salt, pepper, sage, onion and garlic powder and a little butter on them (1/2 teaspoon on each steak.)
