Choppy Layers With Thick Hair?
I really wanna get some cool choppy layers cut into my hair..but im not sure if its ok with my thick hair..because i dont want it to pouf up all the time! I mean a little volume i guess its ok! Because i have naturally curly hair, but i straighten it..i ahave a really good straightner and i always use heat protection. But how should i get my layers cut?? Where should it be around? Like around the bottom of my ears, or lower? Should it be razor cut for it to be thinner? Or should i thin it out then get the layers?

Oh I feel your pain. I have long, curly hair that I always have to straighten. Ask your hairstylist to debulk your hair, which is basically thinning out the under layers making your hair lighter, but it still has some of the volume and during the summer your hair is not as heavy and thick. Next, ask for long layers and ask for your hairstylists opinion as to where it should be around. Personally, I like my layers framing my face which makes the cut unique and perfect for any face type. Remember, hair grows back if something goes wrong. Good luck!!

well if you have thick hair then choppy layers will take the bulk out of it. i would definately razor it, but where the layers start kinda depends on how long your hair is. i have a friend who has thick hair and her hair is really long, her layers start and her chin and it looks amazing

For me, short. you see, hair like jared leto's appear too effortless and sometimes even greasy. Shortcuts are more fun to perform with and some sttles look better on them.
