best low impact cardio exercise?
I'm a college student and don't have any money to join a gym. I'd like to lose 20 lbs so I thought I'd take up jogging. I was talking to my father about it and he pointed out our family history of joint issues so I decided to explore other options instead.
Does anyone know what a good sort of low impact cardio I could do instead?
Could anyone recommend a cardio work out video I could maybe watch and work with in my apartment when I get home from class and before I go to work?

Low impact cardio exercise would be these:
1. Walking
2. Aerobic dance exercise
3. Jumping on the trampoline at low speed
4. Treadmill walking at low speed
5. Stationary biking or outdoor biking at gentle speed
And many more......
The point is - if you exercise at a gentle and low intensity level and within your target heart rate, most exercises are OK.

To avoid continued impact on your joints, you could alternate your exercise - jog one day; walk the next day; bike the next next day, swim, aerobic dance.....
In this way, you "distribute" evenly the impact of exercises to all your body parts and joints.
Cardio workout video would be mostly featuring cardio (aerobic) workout ala Denise Austin or Kathy Smith style (you know, the rhythmic dance type...) which I think you can easily get from the net or from the bookshop.....

ne cardio tape is going to have impact on ur joints so nething we say is irrelevant to ur Q (((P90X is prob best home workout + diet)))... the facts r u shouldnt worry about it if ur form is correct and u dont eat poorly for ur body type///energy///recovery etc.
