What in the world is happening to all the TV sets that are being replaced by flat screens?

Are the sets that don't support a digital signal worth anything to anyone?

They should be recycled, and most communities have recycling services for old TVs. Unfortunately, it appears that quite a number of these are still ending up in landfill.

The old TVs can still be used with cable and satellite services, so many are donated to places that have these services available (nursing homes, etc.)
