Does anyone know anything about the Austin Police Departments Explore program?

No, but I know about the officers who arrested me in 2004 - then got destroyed in court. It's not a good idea to abuse somebody in your custody (especially when that somebody keeps DLA Piper on retainer, unlimited)

I'll give you some free advice, if you are going to grab somebody - make sure that you have your uniform on and or identify yourself as an officer so you don't get knocked out. It's also a better idea to not beat the crap out of him with six of your police officer friends while he is handcuffed.
