Get a "ProTec" helmet. You'll find them at any good skate shop. =)

You have several good choices out there. Pro-Tec is a very well established name for skateboard helmets. Be aware, though, that most Pro-Tec helmets come in two versions - one certified for bicycle and skate use (sometimes called "SXP" or CPSC version), and one that is not certified. The non-certified version has the softer foam liner - it's more comfortable but does not meet specific safety certifications. The ProTec models are the Ace, Classic, and B2. They are sold all around, but just be aware of which version you're buying.

Also, check out the Bell Faction or Giro Flak. Both are certified to both the bike and ASTM skateboard standard, but still look pretty cool. Not all dorky. The Faction and the Flak come in one version that meets both safety standards.

Expect to spend around $30-35 for a decent looking helmet. ProTec and Bell have different fits, so if your previous helmet fit wierd on you, try a different brand. We rarely have fit problems with the Bell or Giro helmet, but sometimes do on the ProTec.
