Why do people here claim evolution has been disproved? (and cite no sources). Are they all americans?

As an American educated in public schools I was taught that not only is Evolution a great theory, but it is the ONLY plausible and testable theory we have. On top of that, it is a wonderfully elegant theory, meeting all the "Occam's Razor" hypothetical requirements. I didn't hear about Creationism until my neighbor (who was home schooled) tried to tell me Evolution was "a lie created by Satanic scientists working for the government". I was 11 at the time and remember wondering if this neighbor wore a tinfoil hat to bed. You know... to ward off alien radio frequency signals...

I'm an American and I believe in Evolution. I don't see how people can attempt to disprove it the way they do.

No. Humans did not come from monkeys.

Yes. Humans and monkeys came from apes.

No. Adam and Eve were not the first humans on Earth.

Yes. Dinosaurs lived way before any humans.

No. It was not a quick process.

you are correct it has not been disproved because in order to be disproved you must first prove it. and it hasn't.

I have noticed that "most" atheist here believe that science is better that religion because it is not a blind faith. but does science have some blind faith to it? are you as an individual suppose to take the word of a scientist as fact, just because he said it. unless you see it with your own eyes in person how do you know what science says is true. how can anyone "prove" with 100% accuracy that anything is certain. if one says it is a scientific law how do you know with out seeing the effect of the law in every part of the universe. In order to "prove" anything don't you need to know everything.

if you know nothing all you have left is you opinion, your faith/ beliefs. and when the scientific community stops doing "real" science and starts attacking peoples faith is when it loses all credibility.

my cousin was a researcher for the Smithsonian institute. he published a paper that mentioned ID ( intelligent design) he was fired and blacklisted.

how is an institution that refuses to let any idea that is not part of the "mainstream" idea any diffrent than a religon the doesn't allow any other theological practises in.

How can anyone claim evolution has been proved, It has not been, it is a theory. When or of it is ever proved then it will be called the science of evolution.

PS: Anyone who can prove evolution would be practically guaranteed a Nobel prize also.

Most Americans believe in evolution....only the fanatics believe evolution has been disproved. It is the church that promotes creationism. The American education system promotes evolution. Sorry to disprove the theory that all American are idiots.

If you do the research yourself than you will come to find that there are many factors that complete the theory of evolution and they are impossible. But if you think about it... If we use to be monkeys then why are there monkeys still here, why did THEY not evolve? Evolution is bull and if they won't teach the theory of creation in school then they shouldn't teach the theory of evolution.

Try to get a monkey a ticket on an airplane to sit with the humans.
