who else thinks Starbucks is overrated?

am I the only one here that thinks it's just a trendy place to buy coffee that's probably no better than gas station coffee?

Update:

clubbing is just gross. this is off topic but i see nothing glamorous about being in a place crowded with sweaty people dancing to loud, bad, cheap music. a "hard night of clubbing" is not my idea of fun and is a terrible way to have fun.

Update 2:

looks like we got a thumbs down fairy.

The King Absolutely agrees!! I never thought to lower myself to enter a nasty filthy peasant infested club either! All you see is low self esteemed attention wanting people and it just makes the King depressed. And you know what?? Half of the Club goers are depressed but forced fed to believe that they must go clubbing to achieve a REAL goal in life, to be cool, to be recognized. Isn't that just pathetic?! Here in ATL they have so many clubs and sometimes just going to the grocery store is just horrific. I would sometimes just survey the scene of the club life and I notice that every pathetic guy is trying too hard to be the hardest or coolest guy in the world. Starting trouble and being ignorant! Oh but ignorant=cool to a fool!! Then you have the foolish girls degraded themselves to be the sexiest women on Earth, when in fact, they only just look like low budget hos and scants, in the eyes of a real man! And with this information, basically what the King is trying to tell you all is that the club scene looks like a damn circus. You know why, cause its a bunch unhappy clowns trying to perform, with too much makeup, fugly costumes and appear to happy when they are really sad and depressed!!

I can't stand Starbuck's coffee. Tried it twice and was very disappointed. It's overpriced and bad tasting. There are local coffee shops that serve up a much better cup of coffee, and have a better atmosphere.

You are right about it being a 'trendy' place for coffee - I think that's about all Starbucks has going for itself.

you're so involved in your questions. :-P

Starbucks certainly is overrated. the coffee does taste better than gas station coffee, but it doesn't taste better than Dunkin' Donuts coffee. I go to Dunkin' Donuts, because it's half the price of Starbucks, I get a student discount, and I love their commercials:

Hopefully those made you less-bored. My favorite is the "Karate!!!!!!!" one; the "dieci" one is a direct jab at Starbucks. The coffee has been rated better than Starbucks and it's typically half the price.

Clubbing is no fun, I like personal time with other people, in not loud and gross clubs. plus I don't drink. booz is not my type of fun.

PS: I would never kick a tree, unless it made a racial slur. ...

I like starbucks. Love it actually, it's one of the few places I can get a cup of coffee or a frapaccino or something with a little more taste and made to my specifications. Sure, I could get something at a gas station or at a donut shop or something. But when I want something that is a little bit more than bland, starbucks is there for me. =D

I've been there twice, and that was in the past two weeks. I got a mocha frappuccino the first time. I must admit, it was really good.

The next time, I got a cappuccino. First, I ordered a medium, by it was half empty when they gave it to me, the rest was foam, and then it tasted like crap. Adding sugar and what not only made it taste worse.

That being said, considering I have a gift card, I'll stick with the mocha , frappuccino once the gift card is gone, I'll be gone from Starbucks too.

I would say that starbucks is not even a trendy place to go, and gas station coffee kicks SB's Butt.

You cant pay me for Sb's. Try Gloria Jeans, or Coffee Club.

The nearest Starbucks to me is about 40 mile. I rarely go, it's a bunch of yanks who work there and they always manage to get your order wrong.

Not me! Starbucks was like the place we would all go to after a night of hard clubbing. If not for Starbucks me and all my friends would be dead from DUI haha

Their coffee for some reason keeps us drunk longer. But the sofas are so comfy.

its actually worse than gas station coffee O.o

you see the good companies like folgers only use really good quality coffee beans

and the ones that dont cut it

end up being bought by starbucks for a cheaper price

and we end up for 5.00 for it

Why pay $5 for a coffee that you can't even pronounce the name of?

If you can't say the name of the drink in one breath, you probably shouldn't be drinking it!

Starbucks is taking over the world. There are 8 within a 4 mile radius of my house!
