Does anyone know how to build an electric potters wheel...?
Or know where i can get some good plans for it??
I'm located in the USA.
To purchase one is very costly, to find a used one is difficult. I have an amazing husband that can build anything, i was just looking for some great plans for an electric one. He could figure it out by himself, but i'd like some plans anyway.
Thanks anyway Sleepy. I appreciate it!!
And thanks for the sites!!

The easiest way is to make a manual kick wheel with a concrete disk for the base (and a really good bearing underneath) then rig a motor with a pulley covered with a heavy rubber band cut from an inner tube - where the pulley touches on the base wheel determines the speed. If you put in 'pottery wheel plans' into Google you will get some detailed sites.

Why would you want to build or make one when you could purchase a used one? That way you know it would work and save money and time.
