how to burn a dvd to a disc?

I always burn video to dvd with Total Video2Dvd , very easy to use, work on home dvd player

step 1: Click "New Project", add video files,

step 2: Click "2. Menu", view dvd menu,

step 3: Click "3. Output", Click "Convert & Burn" output.

sounds like you want to burn the avi, but not as a data file -- you want to burn it as a DVD movie disc? you want something like nero vision express ... It's a separate program from the standard nero package but worth it. let's you burn most recognized video formats into a DVD video disc that you can play on most DVD players. If you are having trouble despite using several different programs, and you are confident about your blanks, then maybe the problem is your DVD writer? just a thought... :)

If it is a store bought DVD then you will not be able to burn it for your friend. They put copyright protection on the dvd's so you can't burn them even once. Copyright removal software was deemed Illegal by a high federal court, and you cannot get it legally in the US.
